The room gave me that "at home" feeling of comfort during my stay. It was a welcome relief not to have the "I'm staying at a motel again" feeling. The place was well equipped. My room was lake side. I had a balcony with a great view overlooking Whitefish Lake with the beach directly out front for only Bay Point Guest to use. On the balcony I also had a gas grill for my use at any time. I would not hesitate at the opportunity to stay here on my next vacation to that area of Montana.
I found the utensils to be not thoroughly cleaned and rewashed them before use. The utensils and cookware should be checked more thoroughly before the next quests arrive. I also found the carpeting to be dirty with stains, but had been vacuumed cleaned. I would suggest having the carpeting cleaned a few times each year. These two items would not prevent my returning for another stay.
We love this place, and will be back again next year. The staff was fantastic, and it was one of the most relaxing and comfortable vacation stays ever!
It was a wonderfull and comfortable stay.I Was traveling with an elderly uncle and he enjoyed it as well. He refered to it as a castle. We were there for his brother and my other uncles funeral
This is a fairly older establishment, so nothing is new. But for the relatively reasonable cost of approximately $200 a night in the middle of summer in Whitefish in a very pretty location with a nice lake view, we thought it was a great value. The bedroom and living room were both a good size, and everything was very clean. The deck spanned the length of the living room, with a good size barbeque. The mattress on the fold-out couch should be replaced, as it was threadbare even for a fold-out mattress. With that said, we were still very pleased overall. Tip the maid always!!
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of our accommodations. We had a lovely unit amongst trees and it was such a peaceful place to stay.
We stayed 2 days over the May long weekend. It was a very relaxing stay. We walked to the small beach. My daughter didn't care that we were the only ones there. We were close to downtown shops. Highly recommend the Bbq @ Piggybacks. It felt like being in lodge with some country charm. All the convenience with Wifi, but with wall to wall wood paneling. There was lots of room to spread out. Clean. Well maintained. Would recommend and come back.
Not much to complain about....maybe the squeaky bed.
Could hear everything our upstairs neighbors did - very thin walls and flooring without proper insulation, it seemed. Decor really needs updating. DVD player didn't work. No soap, shampoo, dishwasher detergent - even after asking guests to wash dishes in dishwasher.
We never saw any staff during the 48 hours we were there. It was a bit strange. The office was never open, and when we arrived at 7pm on the first day our key was taped in an envelope to the office door.
